A dicembre apriranno i primi bandi Horizon 2020 del work programme su scienza e società per il periodo 2018-2020.

La Commissione Ue ha pubblicato il work programme 2018-2020 definitivo 'Science with and for Society' (SwafS) nell'ambito del programma europeo per la ricerca e l'innovazione Horizon 2020.
Le risorse a disposizione ammontano a oltre 213 milioni di euro.

Work programme Horizon 2018-2020
Il work programme intende supportare l'evoluzione della scienza e della società, coinvolgendo i cittadini e gli stakeholder.
Nel dettaglio il programma di lavoro si propone di contribuire all'implementazione della strategia 'Open innovation, Open science, Open to the world' presentata nel 2015 dalla Commissione Ue, concentrandosi su cinque orientamenti strategici:
- accelerare e catalizzare i processi di cambiamento istituzionale,
- rafforzare il sostegno alla parità di genere nella politica della ricerca e dell'innovazione,
- costruire la dimensione territoriale dei partenariati 'Science with and for Society',
- esplorare e sostenere la scienza dei cittadini,
- costruire le conoscenze di base per una 'scienza con e per la società'.
Quali bandi sono finanziati
Il work programme prevede una call articolata in vari argomenti (topic):
Call - Science with and for Society
Scopo del bando è migliorare le performance di ricerca dell'Ue, concentrandosi sullo sviluppo di nuovi partenariati, con la partecipazione dei ricercatori, dei cittadini, dell'industria e degli stakeholder.
Il bando supporta anche l'eguaglianza di genere nelle attività di ricerca e innovazione, oltre ad aprire il mondo della ricerca alla società, in linea con le caratteristiche specifiche di ogni territorio.
